Employability Skills Training.
Throughout Term 1, and now into Term 2, LCP staff have been busy with the delivery of Employability Skills Workshops throughout the region.
Youth In Action Forum at Nexus Youth Centre 2nd April 2009 where a Youth Forum was held on Thursday 2nd April, incorporating National Youth Week activities.

National Youth WeeK 1st April 2009 - The highlight of the program was an address to students from Horsham College and Connect Ed by Cas Dalgliesh and Drew Heard, pictured to the right. The students then visited a selection of businesses in Horsham.
FAQ Books 2009 - During Term 1, the LCP supported the delivery of the Career FAQ’s resource books.Each set contains 37 books which are specifically designed to help people make career decisions and also provide industry/ occupation specific sample resume and cover letters
Horsham North Commuity Garden 2009 - Under the direction of Rob Ticchi and Chris Norton students from Connect Ed have been making a significant contribution to the establishment of the Horsham North Foundry Garden (Veggie Patch) under anAdopt a School Program facilitated by the WSMLLEN/LCP. Tomorrow’s Leaders for Sustainability (TLfS) is a new initiative that helps young people
understand the key issues of sustainability while also gaining the knowledge and skills to
become leaders in their chosen career.
Moovers. Funding obtained from the "Wimmera Uniting Care School Focused Youth Service" and partnerships involving WSMLLEN/LCP, Horsham College and choreographer Anna Loewendahl, enabled a group of eleven Horsham College students, under the guidance of their teacher Paul Denson to motivate "MooVers" dance group.
